In 2008, Dr Amyaouch BRADAIA started to manage NEUROSERVICE’s Patch-Clamp laboratory.
Amyaouch graduated from the University of Strasbourg (France) and performed her PhD work with Pr Jérôme TROUSLARD on the nicotinic cholinergic neurostransmission in lamina X of the spinal cord. She extensively documented the role of α7 nicotinic receptors in fast synaptic transmission in the lamina X and her work was published in peer-reviewed journals: “J. Physiol” and “Neuropharmacology”. Then, she accomplished a first post-doctoral experience in the laboratory of Pr Christian LUSCHER (University of Geneva, Switzerland). She investigated the role of beta-arrestin-2 in the modulation of presynaptic opiod receptors in acute brain slices of the locus coeruleus and the periaqueductal gray matter, a work published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science (U S A). After that experience, she performed a second post-doc fellowship in the laboratory of Pr Bernard BETTLER (University of Basel, Switzerland) where she worked on the roles of the trace amine-associated receptor TAAR1 and the modulation of GABAB receptors desensitization in acute slices of Ventral Tegmental Area.
